Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our Canberra team. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for leading ecological initiatives, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the growth and success of our consultancy firm.
Key Responsibilities- Lead ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses
- Develop and implement ecological initiatives, including concept and feasibility studies
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
- Cultivate client relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the growth strategy for the ecology workstream in ACT
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Principal Ecologist and 5+ years as a Senior Ecologist
- Degree qualified in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany, or a related discipline
- BAM accredited assessor or with extensive experience in BAM and/or other biometric data capture and analysis
- Proven track record of leading ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies
