Job Overview

This is a highly motivated role that requires a professional with experience in civil construction and management of Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) projects. The successful candidate must have a strong community and customer-focused mindset with a genuine desire to deliver exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project close-outs and ensure compliance with QRA reporting requirements.
  • Handle audit queries and maintain a transparent communication channel.
  • Complete Annual QLeave requirements on time.
  • Oversee safety aspects, ensuring strict adherence to WHS standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage and liaise with Gangers and Foremen to ensure the locating and usage of approved gravel pits.
  • Maintain and collate gravel, water, and spoil tally sheets for accurate record-keeping.
  • Proactively identify, obtain, and keep updated all required permits and approvals for new and renewed grave quarries and pits.
  • Prepare and manage procurement activities including ROPS tender for DRFA works resources.
  • Assist Council's engineering department with Capital Works Projects that overlap with DRFA scope.
  • Perform road pick-up, inspections, and supervision of the delivery of DRFA works as required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications and/or proven professional experience in civil construction operations, with experience in DRFA processes preferred but willing to train the right candidate. They will also exhibit innovative and facilitative leadership skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, high-level organisational skills, and computer literacy.
