Job Opportunity: PhD Scholarship in Spoken Conversational Search

RMIT University offers a 3-year scholarship for a student commencing a PhD on Spoken Conversational Search.

The project focuses on developing techniques for summarising search results and/or conversational interaction with search results.

  • Key Research Areas:
  • Contextual interactive techniques for effective information search over speech-only communication channels.
  • Summarising search results using clustering, topic modeling, result diversity, etc.
  • Developing patterns for conversational interaction with search results and underlying information.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Background in Interactive Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, and/or Spoken Dialogue Systems is beneficial.
