Job Title: Advanced Peer Support

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Logan Wellbeing Team as an Advanced Peer Support Worker. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of carers and families in mental health recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recovery-oriented, person-centred peer support to carers, families, and significant others of mental health service consumers.
  • Share your lived experience to educate, advocate, and empower carers through individual and group support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community organisations to enhance carer support services.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation programs, support groups, and contribute to service development and training.

About You:

  • Have personal lived experience as a carer for someone with mental health or substance use challenges.
  • Skilled communicator able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of recovery principles and experience delivering peer-led education or support groups.
  • Commitment to professional boundaries, ongoing learning, and advocating for carers' voices.
