We are seeking a skilled professional to provide support services to asylum seekers and refugees. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to the well-being of our community.

About the Role

The Case Worker will be responsible for delivering high-quality case work support to people seeking asylum residing in our community properties. This will involve conducting assessments, referring them to relevant specialist services, and overseeing community development activities to enhance their confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance to asylum seekers and refugees
  • Conduct assessments and referrals to relevant specialist services
  • Oversee community development activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Social Work or a related field
  • A driver's license valid in Victoria
  • Previous experience delivering case work support to individuals and/or families
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the issues facing people seeking asylum
  • Highly developed skills in cross-cultural communication and sensitivity to cultural issues
