We are currently seeking a Field Service Fitter to join our team, responsible for providing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services to various sites, shutdowns, and customer fleets across multiple projects. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This position involves conducting routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on a variety of machinery, including excavators. You will also be responsible for commissioning new equipment, maintaining accurate records, and interacting with customers, peers, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repairs on Hitachi machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of diesel mechanics and OEM expertise to diagnose complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Commissioning and Testing: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of new equipment to ensure it meets industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with customers, peers, and departments through effective communication and collaboration.

Your Qualifications:

  • Qualification: Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Mechanics or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in diesel mechanics, OEM, and excavator diagnostics.
  • Skillset: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Personal Attributes: Positive attitude, proactive approach to safety, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
