Superior HDD is a horizontal directional drilling companyworking on large and complex Civil, Water, Telecommunication, Electrical and Railway projects. SHDD currentlyoperates 6 different HDD drill rigs of various sizes. The rigsare supported by a modern fleet of MR, HR, HC trucks, excavators, mud recycling systems, and high flow mud pumps.

We are currently seeking a dedicated mobile plant mechanic who is familiar with the requirements of servicing and supporting drilling equipment invarious job locations and areas. Superior HDD currently complete projects across NSW and Victoria. This position will entail working away from home when required, attending to breakdown and service requirements on site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnosticfault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on drill rigs, mud pumps, heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment

Manage breakdown repairs and servicing of equipment

Maintenance reporting and liaising with the site supervisor and operations manager for all work plans

Completeparts request, managing fleet service and criticalpartrequirements to ensure there is no down time

Be proactive in all preventative maintenance including planning and communication to the drill crew

Complete all work as per WHS standards and company policies and procedures

Skills and Experience:

Experience working on heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment.

Experience working on support equipment such as Kubota,Kenworth, Western Star, Hino, Isuzu, Volvo, etc..

Qualified mechaniclicence

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Demonstrated abilities to work within a team environment
