About the Role

Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers is seeking a dedicated Acting Middle Leader - The Arts. This is a fixed term appointment for the period between 28 October to 29 November 2024.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school, and be able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teachers and staff in the Arts department
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans and programs to meet the needs of students
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with other leaders and teachers to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Provide support and guidance to students and staff
Requirements
  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
