Job Title: Middle Leader

About the Role:

SchoolHouse is working in partnership with a co-educational day and boarding college in the Townsville area. This Catholic college caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12, offering a full range of subject selections and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of educators to achieve academic excellence and student success.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to support student growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance their practice and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education, etc.)
  • Hold a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of the school
  • Working Rights for Australia (or eligible to gain)
