Turbine Maintenance Specialist

This position involves facilitating the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a power plant.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical trades, with extensive experience in working with Trent60 engines.
Familiarity with control systems, such as Honeywell and Allen Bradley PLC, is also required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of Hazardous Area compliance and SCADA/PLC operations.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a relevant technical qualification, such as a Cert III in Mechanical Trades, and have a demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Operational Excellence Technologist will be responsible for maintaining and operating equipment to ensure availability and reliability, as well as ensuring all maintenance data is recorded and available for analysis and audit.

Key qualifications and skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in Trent60 engine maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of control systems, including Honeywell and Allen Bradley PLC
- Experience with SCADA/PLC operations and HV Networks
- Hazardous Area compliance certification
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering)
- Additional certifications or training in areas such as leadership or project management
About the role:
This is a full-time, permanent position working a 2 week on, 2 week off roster from Perth or residential in Newman.
The successful candidate will report to the Plant Superintendent and be responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Power Station.
The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
