About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Technical Artist to join our team at Arkose Labs. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art captcha challenges that protect our clients' services from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop captcha challenges using Blender and Python to generate images at scale.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement captcha challenges that are both solvable by humans and difficult for automated systems to crack.
  • Work closely with our machine learning team to validate the effectiveness of captcha challenges against various types of attacks.
  • Develop and maintain internal tools to streamline the captcha challenge development process and improve productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, cyber security, and 3D software to ensure our captcha challenges remain effective and innovative.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with 3D software, with at least 2 years of experience with Blender.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role as a Technical Artist.
  • Proven proficiency in Python programming and experience with coding portfolios.
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with asset management tools such as Perforce, Plastic SCM, or GitHub.
  • Drive to create internal tooling and automation to improve processes.
  • A quality-driven mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in cyber security.
  • Degree or experience in Games Design, 3D Animation, or equivalent.
  • Game concept prototyping/POCs.
  • 3D modeling and sculpting skills using ZBrush and Blender.
  • Experience with scripting inside of Blender.
  • Javascript experience.
  • Html and CSS experience.
  • Data interpretation and validation skills.
  • User experience testing experience.
  • Experience with machine learning and vision.
  • Illustration skills.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Familiarity with AWS (S3, DynamoDB).
  • Experience communicating with customers.
