About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to join our Frostbite team at Yelzkizi. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in the development of our game engine's UI tool set, working closely with engineers and designers to create innovative and user-friendly interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop UI tools and features, ensuring seamless integration with our game engine.
  • Work with a team of technical artists to build UI tools, tech examples, and create documentation and training materials to educate the Frostbite community.
  • Advise on tools, workflows, and best practices with Technical Artists and Designers across all EA studios using Frostbite.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality UI assets, including menus, user interfaces, and other visual elements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with AAA or mobile game development as a UI Technical Artist.
  • Experience in game engines and their related user interface systems.
  • Experience developing UI features from concept to live services.
  • Experience in node-based visual scripting.
  • Experience with UX systems and methodologies.
  • Understanding of gaming platforms, their limitations, and requirements for UI solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with After Effects.
  • Experience with 3D DCC tools (Max, Maya, etc.).
  • Experience with shader graph systems.
  • Experience teaching or training others in the skills of user interface design.
  • Love of learning, experimenting with new ideas, and discovering ways to improve production workflows.
What We Offer

At Yelzkizi, we offer a competitive salary range of $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually, depending on location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation time, sick leave, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
