
Leading Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking experienced child protection professionals to undertake assessments, identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Engage in collaborative practice that respects the culture and context of each child, young person and their carers/family
- Source timely, accurate and comprehensive information to inform evidence-based decisions
- Model ethical and curious casework that is responsive to changing needs
- Build relationships with stakeholders to promote meaningful change in families for better outcomes
- Develop and maintain networks and relationships with partner agencies to deliver holistic services
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development to ensure contemporary practice knowledge and skills
- Maintain accurate and objective client records for reporting and information sharing
- Initiate action in the Children's Court where required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' frontline experience in statutory child protection services or within statutory investigation services
- Excellent analytical, assessment and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving, and excellent interpersonal and self-management skills
- A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid Working with Children clearance number
