Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing a diverse portfolio of mechanical fabrication and fitting projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to major capital and R&M projects to drive the continuous improvement of asset performance
  • Liaising with internal and external resources to develop customer requirement specifications, scope of work, and handover expectations
  • Developing technical specifications and tendering for contractors to cover pre-work, shut-down, and commissioning tasks
  • Ensuring project documentation is completed, including drawings, manuals, data sheets, part lists, cataloguing, and punch lists
  • Supporting project handover by providing technical advice, commissioning, and post-commissioning support

Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance and installation activities, ensuring safety standards are never compromised.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with site supervision and industrial project management in a similar environment
  • A fabrication or mechanical fitting background, ideally with a trade qualification, diploma, or degree
  • An understanding or experience with interpreting structural fabrication drawings and welding processes
  • An ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands
  • Experience in plant process, equipment problem-solving, and reliability improvement
