The Support and Connect Lead is a vital role in guiding a team of Peer Wellbeing Navigators, who support participants throughout their recovery journey.

Job Description

This position involves leading a team of 8–10 members, fostering a culture where every experience with the service is safe, respectful, and inclusive.

The role combines leadership and care – you'll mentor and guide your team to bring out their strengths, build confidence, and support professional growth, while maintaining a warm, evidence-based, and accessible service.

  • You will work closely with other service leaders to ensure care is inclusive, effective, and aligned with best practice.
  • You will also be responsible for supporting participants through service access, support care coordination, service navigation, peer and wellbeing support.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a compassionate and values-driven leader who understands the importance of lived experience in shaping meaningful mental health and wellbeing supports.

  • Senior leadership experience (3+ years) in a mental health setting is essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Psychology or another mental health-related field, with AHPRA registration where applicable, is required.
  • You should have the ability to lead and motivate a designated lived experience workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience in embedding lived experience across models of care is highly valued.
  • You should be able to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve service delivery.
