Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Graduate

We are seeking enthusiastic graduates from various disciplines to join our team as part of our 2025 Graduate intake. This is a permanent and specialized graduate position based in Mernda, Victoria.

About the Role:
  • The mechanical engineering graduate role offers a dedicated route within Costa's vertical farming category.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting maintenance activities for facility infrastructure, composting areas, growing rooms, cold storage, and plant utilities.
  • Updating plant design documentation systems through system reviews.
  • Generating spare and stock lists for reliable plant operations.
  • Contributing to plant reliability and continuous improvement projects.
  • Implementing workplace safety measures for handling machinery and biological materials.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions and supporting preventative maintenance schedules.

Requirements include:

  • Being in your final year or recently completing a bachelor's or postgraduate degree relevant to this position.
  • Holding a valid driver's license (or obtaining one by commencement date).
  • Having personal transport with relevant insurances.
  • From time to time, being willing to travel and work in different sites.
  • Being ready, willing, and available to commence the Graduate Program on February 9, 2026.
  • Having full working rights in Australia.
