Graduate Structural Engineer role in Melbourne offering hands-on experience in building design within a supportive consultancy environment.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Work on simple projects or sections of projects, progressing towards responsibility for project sections
  • Use standard engineering techniques to solve problems
  • Assist senior engineers with analysis, design production, and calculations
  • Prepare calculations and analysis of building structures
  • Assist with preparation of specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation under close supervision
  • Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues under senior engineer supervision
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Graduate membership with Engineers Australia
  • Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
  • 0-3 years of structural engineering experience
  • Ability to apply theoretical engineering principles to practical situations through analysis and interpretation
  • Problem solving/analytical skills
