Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our hydrogeology and hydrology team as a Surface Water Engineer - Flood Modeller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver surface water engineering projects to a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Utilize hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software to drive project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop models and prepare high-quality reports for internal and external clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, methodologies, and value propositions to assist clients in meeting their objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to clients, team members, and project managers on best practices and principles.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant field and substantial industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, particularly the application of two-dimensional hydraulic modelling.
  • Experience in hydrological modelling and assessments, including understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and relevant guidelines.
  • Knowledge and experience of associated areas of surface water engineering would be highly regarded, such as stormwater management and flood risk analysis.
  • Experience in assessing and contributing to the design of water-related structures is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and technical report writing capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
