About the Role

The Assistant Finance Officer Assets is responsible for maintaining accurate records of non-current assets, providing efficient asset services to clients, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register including creation of asset shells, processing of disposals, transfers, and write-offs as required.
  • Accurate recording of all assets in the SAP S/4 HANA Finance System according to current accounting policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations of the Asset Modules with the General Ledger to ensure correct balances in accordance with Queensland Health and Queensland Treasury guidelines.
  • Assistance to the Senior Finance Officer with preparation and validation of schedules within the Annual Financial Statements as needed.
