About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Agile transformation initiative. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive change and improvement in our project management practices.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality outcomes using Agile methodologies in a complex and dynamic environment. They will develop and execute project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements that meet the needs of the department and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and align project documentation (timelines, budgets, resources) with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to support project continuity and goal achievement.
  • Provide teams with necessary tools, resources, and support for effective project execution.
  • Manage project progress, escalate issues as needed, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, comply with regulations, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality outcomes using Agile methodologies in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements that meet the needs of the department and its stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and to develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning, and the ability to promote a positive culture of innovation and agility within teams.
  • Understanding of or ability to acquire understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and the ability to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
