Plumbing Inspector

As a Plumbing Inspector at Wagga Wagga City Council, you will play a vital role in shaping the built environment of your community. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a lasting impact on the lives of future generations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality services in application assessment and inspection of plumbing and drainage works for our growing City. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing activity approvals pursuant to Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993 for both sewer and stormwater drainage works, for residential and commercial developments.
• Conducting inspections of sewer, stormwater, ensuring compliance with NSW Code of Practice and Australian Standards AS3500.
• Assessing plumbing and drainage designs and installations for compliance against the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011 and relevant plumbing standards.
• Identifying and assessing compliant/noncompliant plumbing and drainage designs and installations with reference to the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011.
• Providing plumbing expertise and advice to the organisation and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Current NSW Plumbing, Draining, and Gas fitting Qualified Supervisor Licence, a Class C Drivers Licence, and General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card). Previous experience relevant to the role is also highly desirable.
