Job Title: Senior Strategic Planner
Location: Sydney
Duration: 6 months - Part Time

Job Requirements:

  • Develop and implement new policies to enhance existing frameworks, including drafting of Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) and Development Control Plans (DCPs).
  • Prepare and submit proposals for state significant developments.
  • Assess Planning Proposals and Voluntary Planning Agreements, providing expert advice to Team Leaders, Managers, and Council as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Create and refine policies to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects related to policy development and implementation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic planning, preferably in a local council setting.
  • Strong understanding of policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Benefits:
