General Practitioners are sought by a leading healthcare provider in Ipswich, Queensland. Job Description

The clinic is well-established and has strong community engagement. It is supported by nursing and Aboriginal health staff.

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to providing high-quality care, excellent clinical skills, and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment with First Nation peoples and communities.

Early detection and management of health conditions are prioritised through the use of DPA/19AB Permanent 715 Health Checks. These checks promote a holistic approach to health and contribute to closing the gap.

Employees can attend local schools to conduct 715 Health Checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registration as General Practitioner with AHPRA and the Australian Medical Board (unrestricted)
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Medicare provider number so that you may claim Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) rebates for your professional services at Ipswich and Laidley Clinic locations
  • Current Insurance Indemnity
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities
  • Criminal History Check.
