About the Role

The Head of Decarbonisation and Customer Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive decarbonisation strategy, aligned with our company's goals and objectives. You'll lead a team of experts in driving business growth, profitability, and customer value through the development and commercialisation of innovative electrification products, services, and propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the C&I strategy, aligning with the wider Customer Market strategy, and providing a focus for the team, including driving revenue and profitability through the development and commercialisation of innovative electrification products, services, and propositions, optimising customer value and market share.
  • Define and execute product strategies for electricity and gas products and pricing propositions, as well as optimising pricing structures and driving revenue growth by collaborating with sales and wholesale pricing teams to develop and manage enhanced product propositions.
  • Bring together existing products and integrate with emerging products & propositions to support sales teams with commoditisation and scaling, and coordinate the design and development of a range of initiatives to enable our salespeople to deliver complex solutions to our customers.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of robust commercial governance frameworks and processes to mitigate risk and optimise commercial decision-making, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Accountability for driving excellent commercial outcomes, decarbonisation targets, and playing a critical role in contribution to C&I Business Unit OKRs.
  • Create a culture of high performance with a focus on setting clear direction, regular review, and development of direct and indirect team members within a supportive environment that delivers operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, coupled with proven leadership experience in the energy sector, with a strong track record in strategy development and execution, and in-depth knowledge of decarbonisation technologies and trends.
  • Deep understanding of the C&I energy market, customer needs, and regulatory landscape, and expertise in developing and launching decarbonisation products and services, including complex, integrated solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, driving business growth and profitability, as well as financial analysis skills, and demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving change.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire high-performing cross-functional teams.
