Network Development Engineer, Internet Edge Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Development Engineer to join our Internet Edge team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting networks that meet the high standards of performance, availability, security, and cost.
Our team is responsible for connecting Amazon to the global Internet, with connections to thousands of unique external networks in hundreds of locations across the world. We strive to deliver an Internet connectivity experience that sets the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost.
As a Network Development Engineer, you will work closely with our customer and stakeholder teams to capture requirements and user experience stories. You will design and implement network topologies, architectures, and services that solve for many requirements, and collaborate with vendors or internal stakeholders to influence technology roadmaps.
We are looking for a talented individual with 4+ years of experience in major internet routing protocols and working in a Linux/Unix environment. Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect networks that meet high standards of performance, availability, security, and cost
- Work closely with customer and stakeholder teams to capture requirements and user experience stories
- Design and implement network topologies, architectures, and services that solve for many requirements
- Collaborate with vendors or internal stakeholders to influence technology roadmaps
What You'll Need
- 4+ years of experience in major internet routing protocols
- 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl is a plus
