Job Title: Senior Project Development Engineer

ACEnergy Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Development team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of development approvals and project success.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Client Management: Develop and nurture professional relationships at all organizational levels, maximize engagement to create and sustain ongoing opportunities, and ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with government departments to secure necessary approvals, select and oversee environmental consultants and experts, manage the quality and output of service providers, and attend community consultation sessions as needed.
  • Project Design: Review regulatory design requirements to ensure alignment with standards, provide feedback to developers on concept plans, and identify opportunities to enhance design efficiency.
  • Grid Interconnection: Coordinate connection applications with Network Service Providers and Connection Engineers, consult with NSPs as needed, and attend regulatory and utility engagement meetings.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly project reports, produce monthly project status reports, and provide additional status updates as required by clients.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in developing utility-scale solar farms and stand-alone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Experience managing connection application processes from pre-enquiry to connection offer stages.
  • Skilled in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in creating and managing project management programs and budgets.
  • Strong background in construction or development management.
  • Experienced in town planning and navigating the development approval process through state governments and local councils.
  • Adept at project budgeting, revenue management, and expense control.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent document control, filing, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective in communication, negotiation, and influencing.
