Safety Systems Specialist

The role of WHS System Implementation Specialist is to support the successful implementation of a new template model WHS management system within member organisations. This involves working collaboratively with other team members, LG Safe team and Scheme Members to ensure the LGSafe platform is embedded effectively within their organisation.
This is an opportunity for a talented individual to join our WHS & Risk team at Local Government Association Workers Compensation Scheme. The role will be based in Adelaide and involve working at least three days a week in the office or at members sites.
The main focus of this role will be on supporting members to successfully implement a new template model WHS management system into their organisations. This work sits within the wider program of work that the WHS & Risk team do to support and advise members towards best practice in Risk and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with WHS & Risk team, LG Safe team and Scheme Members to assist members in implementing the LGSafe platform effectively.
- Develop and support the development of resources and tools to enable effective implementation of safety systems within member organisations.
- Develop, maintain and update appropriate reporting mechanisms for key stakeholders and deliver reports periodically as required.
- Approach work with a problem-solving mindset to support members in tailoring tools and resources to their needs.
Requirements:
- A strong background in WHS with relevant qualification (e.g. Cert IV or Diploma in WHS).
- Understanding of WHS Management systems and RTWSA self-insurance standards for WHS.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
