Software Engineer Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled Software Engineers to contribute to the development and engineering support of complex systems. In this role, you will work in a dynamic team supporting the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program.

You will be responsible for leveraging software development skills to enhance and expand core products, introducing new capabilities to address evolving and complex communications needs. You will design, develop, integrate, and test integrated hardware and software systems, communicating and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, combining developmental and off-the-shelf hardware and software to provide world-leading communications capability for Australian Defence Force personnel. BCS is a next generation networking product that supports multiple projects and campaigns, offering flexibility, scalability, and modularity to address various mission needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the full-stack development of innovative communications solutions with a focus on cybersecurity, scalability, and performance.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test integrated hardware and software systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in an inclusive way.

Successful candidates must possess strong programming proficiency across a broad range of technology domains, including front end web user interfaces, adaptability, network sockets, protocols, crypto programming, Linux services, FPGA signal processing, microcontroller firmware, and software design for performance, scale, and simplicity.
