This role provides an opportunity to work with individuals and families in need, supporting them to access essential services and build a brighter future.

The Integrated Homelessness Supported Accommodation Program is a collaborative model that brings together specialist supports to assist those in need. As a Support Worker, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering holistic and trauma-informed support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Support clients to meet their basic needs in a culturally safe and compassionate way
  • Provide practical assistance, including transport and monitoring, to ensure client safety and well-being
  • Actively advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to appropriate services
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent and coordinated support
  • Ensure client outcomes are achieved by following best practice approaches and service protocols
  • Complete required administrative tasks accurately and on time

Requirements for Success:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within homelessness, human services or mental health
  • Strong MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Aboriginal cultural protocols and ability to build respectful relationships
  • Ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable when supporting clients with complex needs
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions
