Job Description:
Trial rural living in a scenic area offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of adults, young people, and children at risk. As the Integrated Violence Abuse and Neglect Lead, you will guide a passionate team of clinicians, oversee complex cases, and set the direction for integrated service delivery.
You will work closely with the community to develop and implement strategies that address the root causes of violence, abuse, and neglect. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on clinical work, helping communities heal while influencing the future of trauma-informed care.
The Inverell area provides a lifestyle that balances affordability with community warmth. With median house prices around $330,000 and average rents at approximately $340 per week, it is an ideal place for families and professionals seeking value. The town offers a range of educational options and a strong community spirit with local events, volunteer opportunities, and a supportive network that makes settling in seamless.
- Lead and mentor the iVAN team across the Northern Tablelands, ensuring culturally safe, high-quality service delivery.
- Deliver specialist counselling for individuals and families who have experienced or are at risk of sexual assault, domestic violence, or other forms of abuse and neglect.
- Represent NSW Health at Safety Action Meetings, contributing expertise in multi-agency forums addressing serious domestic and family violence threats.
- Coordinate outreach services to Glen Innes, Tenterfield, and Warialda, expanding access to care.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. If you are a motivated and compassionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding teams and overseeing complex cases.
- Deep understanding of trauma-informed care and its application in real-world scenarios.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to multi-agency forums.
- Passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of adults, young people, and children at risk.
Benefits:
The Inverell area offers a range of benefits, including affordable housing, access to quality education, and a strong community spirit. You will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team of clinicians and contribute to the development of innovative strategies that address the root causes of violence, abuse, and neglect.
Others:
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on clinical work. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults, young people, and children at risk, while contributing to the future of trauma-informed care.
