Eating Disorder Specialist

We offer an exciting opportunity for a senior mental health clinician to join our core community treatment team, providing clinic-based assessment, formulation, and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East of Melbourne.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires expertise in assessing and treating young people with eating disorders and comorbidities.
About the JobThe successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, providing medium-term treatment for children, adolescents, and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Shire of Cardinia, and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry a limited case load and support and mentor other clinicians working with families
- Provide secondary consultations within the service, supervising, running peer supervision groups, and staff training
To be successful in this role, you will require senior mental health qualifications, training, and experience in assessing and treating young people with eating disorders and comorbidities. You should also have skills in Family Based Therapy (FBT) and other eating disorder treatment modalities.
You must be adaptable to a changing environment, possess a caring and engaging manner, positive work attitude, strong communication skills, and a strong people-person focus.
