Key Role Overview:

The Senior Policy Adviser will lead the secretariat of a cash equities clearing and settlement advisory group, providing industry insights to inform strategic decisions on ASX Clear and ASX Settlement boards.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to Australia's financial market infrastructure evolution, supporting the Independent Chair and Advisory Group in their key responsibilities.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective functioning of the Advisory Group by providing comprehensive support for key strategic matters related to cash equities clearing and settlement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Independent Chair to achieve success, including attending meetings, taking meeting minutes, and offering expert advice and information.
  • Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the Advisory Group, providing advice to the Independent Chair on governance matters.

The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in policy, legal, or governance roles, accompanied by strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and coordination abilities, and attention to detail.

They must also be able to effectively interact with senior executives from ASX and senior industry stakeholders, demonstrating highly developed professionalism, discretion, and initiative.
