Training Officer - Career Opportunities

This is a dynamic role within the Queensland Police Service, requiring a motivated individual to develop and implement training programs for our members.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and deliver effective training courses using evidence-based techniques and industry best practices.
  • Talent Management: Identify training needs and assist in assessing, monitoring, and evaluating all training strategies and participants.
  • Training Materials: Develop training packages, VET accredited course requirements, and internal materials in accordance with national standards and QPS policy.
  • Course Coordination: Coordinate course curriculum, maintain records, and allocate tasks for the State Water Police Training Section.
  • Policy Support: Contribute to policy development related to QPS training outcomes.
  • Networking: Establish and maintain networks within the QPS and external agencies.
  • Expert Advice: Provide timely advice on maritime training requirements to the Coordinator, State Marine Training Section.
Requirements:
  • Mandatory qualifications include TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and MAR30821/MAR30921 Certificates III in Maritime Operations (Near Coastal).
  • A valid Australian driver's licence is also required.
