We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Lead to join our corporate division at Service Stream. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our office in Melbourne.
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake planning and execution of all projects and continual delivery work within an agile team(s) in the Field Solutions Team.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Execution: Plan and execute all projects, features, continuous delivery items, and support fixes using an agile cadence.
- Agile Team Leadership: Lead agile delivery squads with best industry practices and ensure 'right fit' processes and governance are applied to all projects and continuous delivery.
- Resource Planning: Work with Strategy and Change, Systems and Process manager, and Portfolio Delivery Manager to provide effective demand planning and prioritization of pipeline initiatives, ensuring timely delivery through effective resource planning.
- Project Mobilization: Effectively mobilize all new projects and initiatives, involving portfolio applications, while working with other agile teams to ensure coordinated delivery and deployment.
- Progress Reporting: Effectively and timely report progress on all projects and initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Drive continual improvement of delivery processes to improve efficiencies of both time and costs, effective management of risks, and improve the predictability of outcomes.
- Resource Management: Execute effective resource plans to allow the team to expand and contract over time to meet demand and align with budgets, balancing the use of contractors and 3rd party vendors with full-time staff contracts to optimize costs.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other agile teams to optimize the use of resources and plan work that cross-portfolio teams.
- Agile Tools: Use agile productivity tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Sprint Planning: Drive agile cadence within delivery teams by organizing sprint planning, backlog refinement workshops, and working with teams to size stories, plan, and prioritize work for the time-boxed sprint based on available capacity, daily stand-ups, mid-sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Project Management: Manage project and continuous delivery work in Jira using sprint and kanban boards, creation of epics and stories, create dashboards, filters, and reports for monitoring and reporting.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress of work in sprints, limit work in progress, and facilitate to remove impediments/blockers for the team.
- Team Collaboration: Effectively collaborate in Jira, review, and closely monitor teams' comments in Jira stories to track the progress of work, ensure stories are up to date to reflect correct status, flagged for any dependency, assigned to the right resource.
- Financial Management: Review and approve team's timesheet, review and approve monthly financial reports to ensure chargeback to the right cost centers.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with PMO Lead to ensure resourcing is available to support work delivery and manage stakeholders within business groups.
- Communication: Able to communicate effectively with technical teams in various roles (developers, testers, etc).
- Project Funding: Effective management of project funding ensuring effective and efficient use of funds.
- People Management: People management of team members.

- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software delivery.
- Project Delivery: Delivered projects or project portfolios in the range of $1m-$5m per annum.
- Agile Team Experience: Experience running Agile Teams.
- Leadership: Ability to deliver projects directly or manage a small group of project managers where workload expands.
- SDLC and DevOps: Experience in or understanding of SDLC and DevOps processes.
- Leadership Skills: Leadership orientated - understands how to motivate and build a high-performance team.
- Collaboration: Can demonstrate a collaborative mindset and team-first approach.
- Process Management: Ability to balance the need to define and use processes versus delivery outcomes.
- People Management: Previous people management experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical and business domain knowledge ideally in Field Service Management and Work Order management.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience working in Telecommunication, Gas, Electricity, and Water Utilities industry domains is preferred.
- Agile Experience: Hands-on experience with Agile processes, in a software development environment.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Business Engagement: Strong business/client engagement skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio; relevant business analysis tool(s).
- System Knowledge: Knowledge of systems such as Service-now, Oracle Field Solutions is highly desirable.
