Located in Katherine, we are seeking an experienced Mechanic to fill a field-based resident role. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on world-class John Deere & Construction equipment, supported by our Darwin branch.

This varied position involves working with complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on heavy machinery. We are interested in candidates with prior experience in engine overhauls and major repairs, including electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics and repair of tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, graders, skid steers, excavators, and backhoes
  • Maintenance of heavy machinery in a workshop and field environment

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience in engine overhauls and major repairs
  • A current and valid driver's licence
  • A mature attitude and logical approach to problem-solving
  • Possession of high-risk work tickets and/or licenses is highly regarded

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
