Ecologist Role

This role involves overseeing the planning, organisation and implementation of projects from initial stages to completion. Key responsibilities include managing projects financially, ensuring timely delivery, effective resourcing and communication with clients.

Project development is a key aspect of this position. This includes collaborating with farmers, Indigenous communities, energy users and waste facility managers to find additional revenue streams while enhancing environmental performance.

The Ecologist will lead project teams, undertake field-based survey work, assess ecological restoration approaches and implement monitoring programs. The ability to detect changes over time and present technical information to various stakeholders is essential.

A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science or a related field is required. Experience working in remote areas, Arc GIS proficiency and relevant 4WD and first aid training are also necessary.
