Job Title:

Native Ecosystem Restorer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Native Ecosystem Restorer to join our team. As a key member of our on-ground team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks aimed at re-establishing, enhancing and protecting native vegetation in both natural and built environments.

The ideal candidate will have high level attention to detail, excellent native plant and weed identification skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also be required to train in all equipment and techniques, and work flexible hours in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of tasks including weed spraying, woody weed control, brush cutting and revegetation.
  • Train in all equipment and techniques.
  • Work as a team player with a keen interest and willingness to further develop environmental skills.
  • Take direction and be adaptable to changing working conditions.
  • Work flexible hours in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain.
  • Observe all OHS&W policies and practices.
  • Maintain an excellent level of physical fitness.
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
  • Qualifications in Bushcare / Natural Resource / Environment Management or relevant experience.
  • Excellent native plant and weed identification skills.
  • Demonstrated team worker.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Knowledge of current trends in Bushcare and Environmental matters.
  • Experience in the use of bushcare tools such as brush cutters, chainsaws and spray packs.
  • Full Pest Management Technicians Licence.
  • Current First Aid.
  • Chainsaw use and maintenance.
  • MR licence.
  • Current Work Zone Traffic Management Accreditation.
