Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Support Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will work closely with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families to deliver evidence-informed solutions that promote independence and community participation.

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with participants to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide expert clinical training and coaching to enhance skills and build capabilities
  • Work in partnership with participants and their families to identify strengths, areas of need, and develop strategies for success
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of participant progress and outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy or speech pathology
  • 1-3 years of experience in speech pathology or occupational therapy
  • Experience in disability services is an asset but not required
  • A self-starter eager to deepen skills in neurodivergence
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia or willingness to obtain
  • Current driver's license, use of own vehicle for work (reimbursed per km), and willingness to travel locally
