Job Title: Construction Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Construction Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install sheet flooring, erect lightweight steel wall frames, install windows and doors, and construct eaves.
  2. Teamwork is essential - the successful candidate will be the eyes and ears of the project manager on-site.
  3. Set out buildings on site and set up building levels as per datum and drawings provided.
  4. E nsure all necessary materials to complete the project are on site on time.
  5. Install exterior wall claddings, linings, panelling, mouldings, and fit manholes, special door furniture, extra specific flashings etc.
  6. Undertake reworks and refurbish builds as required, install transit walls as and when required, and undertake maintenance and repair work as needed.
  7. Modify furniture products to suit specific requirements and close out punch list items prior to and after client inspections.
  8. Erect scaffolding around buildings when required, build stairs, ramps, and other items as needed, and provide assistance to trade workers and labourers to perform their duties.
  9. Perform any other carpentry duties as required.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade certification an asset.
  2. 3+ years' experience in carpentry or a related field.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
  6. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
