We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead a dynamic technical team based in Tamworth. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on a blend of project management, client interaction, and team leadership.

As a Technical Lead, you will oversee various civil infrastructure projects, working closely with your team and directly engaging with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. Typical projects include the preconstruction and construction phases of infrastructure developments such as roads, bridges, and water/sewer systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a technical team to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities, managing ongoing client relationships with an emphasis on transparent and constructive communication.
  • Oversight of project management, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Provide expert engineering advice and solutions that align with client needs and project goals.

About the Role: Our ideal candidate possesses a unique mix of technical and personal qualities, including:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership and/or project management qualifications.
  • At least 10 years of engineering experience in Australia, with a strong background in managing professional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure project management, ideally involving road, bridge, or water/sewer projects.
  • Ethical, reliable, and committed to open and honest service delivery.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to balance competing priorities, work autonomously, and inspire a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Current NSW driver's license and legal eligibility to work in Australia.
  • RPEQ and/or CPEng certification is highly desirable.
