Northcott is seeking a Support Worker to join our Work and Study program. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with employment goals, networking with employers and organizing work placements.
- Empower support staff to establish effective communication with customers using an individualized approach.
- Implement and review Individual Program Plans.
- Record customer progress in line with relevant documentation.
- Devise and facilitate program activities and workshops with customers and support staff.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting customers and assisting people with disabilities to find jobs.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our unique customers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with customers and to support their individual care plans, including goals.
- A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
- NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
