About the Role

Northcott is seeking a Support Worker to join our Work and Study program. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with employment goals, networking with employers and organizing work placements.
  • Empower support staff to establish effective communication with customers using an individualized approach.
  • Implement and review Individual Program Plans.
  • Record customer progress in line with relevant documentation.
  • Devise and facilitate program activities and workshops with customers and support staff.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience supporting customers and assisting people with disabilities to find jobs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our unique customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with customers and to support their individual care plans, including goals.
  • A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
  • NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
