Autism Educator Position

Our school is an exciting educational setting for Primary students on the Autism Spectrum.
About this role:- We are seeking experienced teachers to work collaboratively with families and educate these amazing students in a supportive environment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have ASD, as well as understanding of strategies necessary to assist with communication, sensory, behavioural, and learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with Allied Health professionals and families to develop Individual Education Plans for all students.
- Assess each student's individual abilities and identify any barriers to learning.
- Develop programs within a developmental framework that cater to the needs of our students.
- NESA registration to teach in NSW is essential.
- Special Education qualification/s are also required.
- We seek candidates with comprehensive proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and teaching in both individual and group settings.
- A strong understanding of PBS framework principles and skills is desired.
- Candidates should possess well-developed interpersonal skills.
- This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a committed team.
- Successful applicants must be prepared to work under the ethos of our school and in regular fellowship and involvement at an Evangelical Church.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating students on the Autism Spectrum and a commitment to supporting their unique needs.
