English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of students in Years 7-12.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and stage 6 English teaching experience. They will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons, integrate technology into the curriculum, and cater for diverse learning needs.

About the Role

This role involves teaching English to students in Years 7-12 and contributing to the overall academic success of the school.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
  • Stage 6 English teaching experience preferred
  • A high standard of competency and innovation as a classroom teacher
  • Ability to integrate ICT into the curriculum
  • Cater for different learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good administrative skills with flexibility and adaptability
  • HSIE subjects an advantage
  • Prioritise and work collegially
