The Tobacco Licensing Victoria team seeks an experienced professional to lead a diverse group of compliance and enforcement officers.
This role is responsible for supervising staff carrying out inspections, investigations, and enforcement functions, including attending premises across Victoria and preparing documents to support the department's efforts to regulate the tobacco industry.
The successful candidate will also directly undertake some compliance functions in complex or sensitive cases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team undertaking compliance and enforcement actions, including allocating resources, business planning, and reporting.
- Work with a team to plan and deliver compliance and enforcement actions, including intelligence-led work programs and investigations.
- Provide guidance on appropriate compliance and enforcement action according to policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in conducting and managing complex compliance and enforcement functions within a regulatory environment. You will also possess highly developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to interpret and operationalise legislation.
About You- You will require a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent tertiary qualification and/or significant experience leading compliance and enforcement operations or investigations.
- A Victorian Drivers Licence is required along with a strong understanding of child safety.
