Our Early Years Educator Role:

  • Bring the Journey Values of connection, communication and consideration to life in everyday practice.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, children, and families to plan and implement an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documenting, and evaluating learning experiences.
  • Develop trusting relationships with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care and education of their children.
  • Extend children's thinking and learning through intentional teaching strategies, inspiring environments, spontaneous play experiences and high-quality documentation.
  • Gather and analyse information from written observations to ensure children's strengths, interests and preferences are included in the programme and activities.
  • Mentor educators in the education, care, and supervision of all children.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment that meets the needs of our children.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate programmes in consultation with others to foster all aspects of child development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in an environment guiding and supporting children up to six years old.
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality programmes for young children.
  • Understanding of the ECA code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Commitment to providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental and supportive environment for children and their families.
  • Leadership experience, guiding and mentoring a team.
  • ACECQA-approved bachelor's degree in Early Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Valid Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates.
