Senior Procurement and Contracts Specialist

About the Role

This role involves leading strategic sourcing initiatives, planning, specification development, tendering, evaluation, negotiation of contracts, and developing and negotiating contracts required by CHQ HHS without a procurement process.

  • Leading strategic sourcing initiatives for all categories of spend, including specialist equipment, general goods and services, Information Technology Contracting (ICT), building construction and maintenance (BCM) categories.
  • Planning, specification development, tendering, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts, including the ability to undertake minor, medium, and capital works based on the relevant Australian Standard Contract Conditions and/or Queensland Government-approved contract conditions as required in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy.
  • Developing and negotiating contracts required by CHQ HHS without a procurement process, including Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), Service Level Agreements, and other contracts with Non-Government Organizations and other Hospital and Health Services.
