About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Print Room Operator to join our VIC Direct Service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full service provision, including print production and preparation and distribution of print work. This is a multifaceted role that requires a customer service mindset and day-to-day functioning of the print centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high quality internal and external documents are produced in the print centre.
  • Provide offline finishing binding, scoring, and laminating services.
  • Utilise job submission software to receive and manage print requests.
  • Manage overflow and specialty requirements with outsourced print partners.
  • Pre-production document design, editing and imposition to suit individual job requirements.
  • Basic level troubleshooting on production printers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service using various communication methods.
  • Proven experience as a print room operator.
  • Flexible and willing to assist, meeting deadlines in line with SLA's.
  • Enjoy collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including 3rd party suppliers.
  • Familiar with KM Production equipment.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end production workflow.
  • Sound skills in Microsoft office applications, Adobe CC, Job Tickets – Trello, Graphic design, Quoting, Wide format, and IT network and software application-related troubleshooting experience.
