We are a mid-sized construction firm that has been in operation for over four decades. We have gained significant experience and expertise in delivering complex projects across Australia, the Pacific Islands, and Africa.


A key project we are currently undertaking is the development of a new Australian Government building in the Solomon Islands. This high-profile project requires the services of an experienced senior structural project engineer who can oversee the structural package from design to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare detailed mark-ups of structural designs to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Oversee the selection of materials and structures to ensure they meet load capacity, durability, and environmental resilience standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections to maintain high standards and compliance throughout all structural works.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges as they arise.
  • Monitor project timelines, resource use, and budget allocations to meet project milestones efficiently.

The Role

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced senior structural project engineer with a strong background in structural design, analysis, and project execution on large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 7 years of structural engineering experience in the construction industry.
  • Expertise in structural design, analysis, and project execution on large-scale projects.
  • PMP certification and eligibility to register on state structural engineering registers.
  • Strong understanding of Australian standards and local regulations, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Australian construction industry.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for site visits during the construction stage.
