Salary Information

The salary for this Registered Midwife position is $10,000 plus $5,000 incentives offered. This competitive compensation package reflects the value we place on our midwives' skills and expertise.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our multidisciplinary maternity team in a rural area of New South Wales. As a key member of our team, you will provide woman-centred care focused on individual needs, expectations, and aspirations to achieve optimal pregnancy outcomes.

You will work in a modern, state-of-the-art maternity unit, supporting women and their pregnancies. Our single aim is to provide a service that builds healthier rural people and thriving communities, and our midwives play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, woman-centred care to patients in a rural setting
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers and community members
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry advancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Midwifery or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Must hold ALS and Triage Qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
