Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of rail communications systems for an iconic rail project in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver rail communications systems for the project
  • Develop scope of works, order materials, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver work packages on time and on budget
  • Provide technical expertise and lead a team of experienced engineers
  • Ensure safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the project

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Electronics and/or Telecommunications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Principal Telecoms Engineer
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification
  • Experience in rail comms systems and future technologies
  • Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Experience in design and construct methodology, systems engineering concepts, configuration management, implementation, site testing, and commissioning activities
  • Proven experience in telecommunications CORE systems, Radio Access Network, Network Management Systems, Backbone Networks, and Telecoms Infrastructure
  • Excellent report writing and oral communication skills
